4 cups fresh or frozen gooseberries
1/2 cup flour
1 2/3 cups granulated sugar
1/4 stick butter
2 crust for 9 inch deep dish pie

Directions:
Directions:
Put gooseberries in sauce pan and slightly cook. Thoroughly mix flour and sugar and add to the slightly cooled berries. Pour contents of sauce pan in pie crust and spot with dabs of butter.
Add top crust, punch a few holes for vent and bake in 425 degree oven for about 15 minutes or until crust begins to brown then reduce heat and bake for an additional 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
