1/2 c Butter, softened
1 1/2 C sugar
3 eggs
2 TB vanilla extract
2 TB almond extract
3 C flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 C almonds, sliced

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter and sugar, blend. Add eggs, vanilla, almond extracts and blend well. Stir in flour and baking powder. Stir in almonds.
Divide dough into 1/4's.
Shape into approx 12 inch rolls.
Press tops to flatten just slightly.
Bake at 325º for 25 minutes . Remove from oven.
Using sharp knife , cut into slices. Place slices, cut side down, onto cookie sheet. Bake an additional 15minutes or lightly browned. Cool on wire rack.
