3 c lukewarm milk
2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1/2 c sugar
2 cakes yeast
1 to 7 1/2 c flour

Filling:
1 stick butter
1 c sugar

drop of lemon and orange juice and a bit of rind
2 c walnuts, ground
1/2 c milk, scalded
2 tsp cocoa
dash salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 6 ingredients adding flour in tow additions using amounts necessary to make dough easy to handle. Knead dough until smooth. Put in greased bowl, cover with damp cloth and let rise until double, about 1 to 2 hours. Cut in half and knead on pastry cloth, then let rise again until double, about 45 minutes. Mix filling and spread over dough which has been rolled to about 36 inch square, 1/2 inch thick. Roll jelly roll fashion. This makes two breads angel cake size. Brush with egg and sprinkle sugar on top before baking. Can also bake in loaf, makes 3-4 loaf pans.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is a wonderful sweet bread. It takes nearly all day and you need to roll it out on a table since it needs to be 36 inch square.
