2 cups flour
2/3 cup shortening
1 tsp salt
5-6 Tablespoons cold water

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour with salt, cut in shortening until mixture resembles fine meal. Sprinkle with water one tablespoon at a time. Mix lightly with fork till all of flour is moistened. Form dough into ball. Divide in half. Roll each to 1/8 inch thickness of lightly floured board. Fit pastry loosely into pie plates. Prick bottom and sides with fork. Trim and flute edges. Bake in preheated oven at 400 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes or till golden brown. Makes two 8 or 9 inch single or one double crust pie.

go a little less on the salt unless you like a salty tasting crust. It is a little too salty I think.
