Strawberries
Sugar
Water
Whip cream
Directions:
Directions:
Make sugar syrup by combining 1/4 cup of water and 1 T. sugar. Microwave until hot enough to melt sugar. Taste to see if more sugar is needed.
Cut in half the strawberries and place in a bowl. Pour sugar water over strawberries and chill.
Serve over shortcakes and top with whip cream.

Lauren, to make a strawberry sugar syrup, take a few strawberries and blend with the sugar water. It works best to mix with a hand mixer.
