2 c. dried beans
3/4 c. sugar
1 T. molasses
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Pork chops or bacon, as desired
Salt and Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Soak the beans in water overnight.

Change the water and par boil until the skin cracks open, then add sugar, molasses, dry mustard, baking soda, salt and pepper.

Add meat, if desired.

Cover with water and bake in a slow oven until brown or beans are soft, about 4.5 hours.
