1/2 c. white corn syrup
1 lb. butter ( 4 cubes)
1 lb. sugar ( 1 cup)
1 lb. almonds (4 cups) (sliced work well)
1 lb.chocolate morsels


Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter, add sugar, mix well in a saucepan. Add syrup. Let come to boil , add 1/2 of almonds. Cook slowly 45 min.stirring often or until it reaches hard crack stage (300 degrees). Pour into well-greased tray with sides. (I use a jelly roll pan) When cool, spread with melted chocolate on both sides and sprinkle with almonds.
