6 c all purpose flour
1-1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
2 c butter or margarine (softened)
1 c sugar
1 c brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon extract
2 c chopped nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Sift together top five ingredients, in a large bowl, add cream butter and sugars, add eggs, extracts, beat well. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Stir nuts. Divide dough in 4 parts and make rolls 1 in. x 1-1/2 in. x 11 in. long logs. Wrap and chill over night. Slice 3/8 in. thick. Bake in 350º oven for 10 minutes. Can freeze in air tight containers.
