2/3 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 egg beaten
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 3 ingredients together. Then add beaten egg, saving 2 tsp. Sift together flour & baking powder, mix in with wet ingredients. Press into 8x8 pan & brush remaining egg over top. Bake at 350ºF for 1/2 hour or until top is golden brown. Store in airtight container.
