12 chicken thighs (boneless or bone in but must have the skin!)
1 c. soy sauce (regular)
1 c. Dark soy sauce (the sweet stuff!)
1/2 c. wine (any white wine will work)
2 c. chicken broth
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. vinegar (rice vinegar the best)
3 inches of ginger sliced in to medalions
1 inch of ginger (crushed and mashed into a paste or grated)
4 good size garlice cloves diced and chopped

Directions:

Pour a little oil in a big pot with a lid and brown the chicken just a little

Then throw the rest of the ingredients in, bring it to a boil and then set to simmer and let cook about 20 min. You can eat the chicken just like with some rice.

OR! you can just throw it all in a pyrex and cook it in the oven for about 35 min at 350º

its not the authentic way but its pretty darn good, my Dad makes it when he doesn't have a lot of time. Its good with bokchoy and rice!

If you want to make it a little spicey cook it with red chili flakes
