1 beef roast
1 large onion sliced thickly
potatoes, washed, peeled, and cut in half
carrots
salt & pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Place roast in electric frying pan and turn temperature to 350º. Cover roast with slices of onion. Add salt and pepper. Place potatoes and carrots (enough for your family) around roast. Add 8 oz. water. Place lid on frying pan and cook until you come home from church.
Pour off drippings and make gravy.

Sally and I think that we had this meal every Sunday of our lives while growing up. I appreciate it more today than I did during my youth. I have altered the cooking a little. I bake it in the oven during church instead of in the electric skillet.
