10 tbsp. margarine
3/4 c. packed light brown sugar
6 eggs separated
12 oz chocolate, melted and cooled
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. rum (optional)
salt

Hazelnut Meringue
1 c. hazelnuts
4 oz chocolate chopped
1tbsp. cornstarch
4 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tarter
1 c. sugar

Cake:
preheat oven to 350. Grease 9 inch springform pan. Line with parchment. Beat margarine and brown sugar. Beat in yolks one at a time Add chocolate, rum and vanilla, mix well. Beat whites with salt in a clean mixing bowl until soft peaks form. Fold into chocolate mixture. Bake 25 min.

Meringue:
toast hazelnuts 10 min. Remove the skins, cool and chop. Mix nuts, chocolate and cornstarch in a bowl. Beat whites with cream of tarter, add sugar and beat until stiff. Fold in hazelnut mixture. Remove cake from oven and spread this mixture on it. Return to the oven and bake 25 minutes
