6 ounces dry rigatoni
8 ounces chicken sausage, cooked and cut into 1 inch pieces
1 and 1/2 pounds Golden Delicious apples, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup Gorganzola or Bleu Cheese
snipped fresh basil

Cook pasta and drain. Cook sausage until brown. Add apples and stir until lightly golden (5-7 minutes). Stir in pasta, cream and cheese. Garnish with basil.

This is a flavorful and hearty dish I love to serve in the fall right as the evenings begin to get chilly. It's a meal in itself, so other than crusty bread, you don't have to worry about preparing any sides. I've always used chicken sausage, but pork would work just as well.
