1 3/4 c flour
1 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 stick margarine
1 c sugar
1 egg beaten
1 c unsweetened applesauce
1/2 c raisins
1/2 c walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients. Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg. Add to dry ingredients and alternate with applesauce. Add raisins and nuts if using. Pour into greased and floured 8" pans (2) or a 13x 9" rectangle. Bake at 350 º for 45-50 minutes.
