Shredded head of cabbage
1/2 gal red wine vinegar
1/2 gal sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cloves
salt

Directions:
Directions:
Soak cabbage in red wine vinegar for 1/2 hr. Add Sugar and let soak for another 1/2 hr. Heat bacon fat to smoking point and add cabbage. Braise until heated through.
