Prebaked pie crust - with 1 Tbs sugar sprinkled on crust before baking
1 - 1/12 quarts strawberries
2/3 cup water
1 cup sugar
3 Tbs cornstarch
1/3 cup water
Directions:
Directions:
Take 1 cup of the smaller, riper berries, and add to the 2/3 c water and 1 c sugar. Simmer 10 minutes and then add a couple of drops of red food coloring. Dissolve the cornstarch in the 1/3 c water and add to filling, cooking until clear. Fill the pie crust with the remaining strawberries and then pour filling over the top. Allow to chill before serving.
