1/3 cup water
2/3 cup sugar
3 pears cut in half, and cored
1 cup whip creme
crushed peppercorns ~ 1 1/2 teas.
Really good blue veined cheese, sliced

Directions:
Directions:
Bring sugar and water to boil in heavy bottom sauce pan. Add pears cut side down, bring up to soft boil, cover and cook 10-15 minutes until pears are fork tender, remove pears from pan. Raise heat and cook another 3-5 minutes until sugar carmelizes, add creme to pan, swirl and cook until thick.
Plate one pear on a plate, spoon sauce over, add a slice of cheese and sprinkle with peppercorns.
