1 gallon port wine
1 handful almonds
1 handful prunes
6 whole cloves
1 handful raisins
1 handful dried apricot
5 cardamom seeds
1 orange, sliced
1 lemon, sliced

Combine. Cover and let sit until Christmas Eve. Pour into a large pot and heat. Add a fifth of vodka. Heat and then flame. Serve in mugs.

On Christmas Eve, I always serve "Glogg". This is a custom I started many years ago when I decided the girls should know some of the traditions from Sweden and Denmark. I prepare this about one month before Christmas.
