2 packages active dry yeast
1-1/4 cups warm water
1/4 cup softened butter
1 teaspoon salt
1 (4-serving) package of egg custard mix (in the pudding section)
3 to 3-1/2 cups flour

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Soften yeast in water in a large bowl. Add butter, salt and dry custard mix. Stir until mix is dissolved. Gradually add flour, mixing well. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface 12 times. Roll dough out on a lightly floured surface to a 20 x 8 rectangle. Cut in half lengthwise, making 20-inch x 4-inch strips. Gently pull and shape each strip to 24 inches. With a knife handle, grease each strip lengthwise, slightly off center, then fold over. Cut into twelve 2-inch or eight 3-inch slices. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Cover, let rise in a warm, draft free place for 40-45 minutes. Bake for 10-15 minutes.
