2 lbs frozen green beans,snapped variety. 1 can consomme soup, 3 TBS.olive oil,

Directions:
Put beans, consomme and oil in a suitable sauce pan. Add just enough water to cover beans. Bring to a boil, and then turn down to simmer. Cook 45 minutes or until beans are fork tender. They can rest in the pan. until ready to reheat and serve. I have doubled and tripled this easily. Just don,t use too much water. Watch to be sure the water doesn,t cook off and then the beans burn. you can add bacon bits or a little country ham to come closer to traditional southern flavor, but they are good as they are.
