Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 medium size ripe watermelon
1 cup lemon juice, preferably freshly squeezed
2 cups orange juice, preferably freshly squeezed
2 cups sugar dissolved in 2 cups hot water
2 - 28oz bottles lemon-lime soda
1 cup vodka (optional)
Dash of Grenadine for color
Whole fruits or chunks of reserved watermelon for garnish

Directions:
Directions:
Cut the watermelon in half, forming a zigzag cut edge. Remove the pulp, discarding the seeds. Puree the pulp in batches in a blender. This should yield about 6 cups juice. Set 1/2 the watermelon aside to be used as a bowl, if desired.

Combine the watermelon juice, lemon, orange juice and sugar syrup in large pitcher. Still well.

When ready to serve, place some ice cubes in the melon bowl (or punch bowl). Add the juice mixture. Carefully mix in the soda and grenadine for color. Add vodka (optional).

Garnish with fruit. Makes 30 servings.
