Cream together:
1 c. softened butter or margarine
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Add:
2 1/4 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
3/4 c. finely chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Once dough is mixed, chill until cold. Roll into 1 inch balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake @ 400º for 10 to 12 minutes.

Cool the cookies on a rack for 5 minutes and then roll them in powdered sugar. When completely cooled roll in powder sugar again. Store them in a container with wax paper between the layers.
