Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 lb. fresh green beans, cleaned & snapped
4-6 oz sliced almonds
2-3 green onions, sliced
olive oil
butter

Directions:
Directions:
Clean and snap ends off of green beans. Heat water in large pan to boiling. Drop beans in boiling water and blanch for 2-3 minutes. You do not want to cook them, just firm to the bite (al dente). Take beans out of boiling water and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process. Heat equal parts butter and olive oil in pan. Start with 2 tbsp of each. Saute sliced almonds until light brown then add sliced green onions in the pan. Cook until onions are slightly translucent. Add green beans to the almond and onion mixture and saute together until green beans are heated through and tender. Add oil and butter in equal parts if needed during cooking. Salt and pepper to taste and transfer into serving dish.
