1/2 lb Oreo cookies
1/4 c. butter, melted
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
2 c. powdered sugar
1 1/2 c. evaporated milk (15oz)
2/3 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
8 oz cool whip
1 c. Spanish peanuts

Mix Oreo cookies and melted butter together. Press in bottom of 9X13" pan, freeze. Spread 1/2 gallon ice cream over crust, freeze. Heat butter,powdered sugar, evaporated milk and chocolate chips in double boiler, stirring consistently. Boil until thick and the consistency of hot fudge topping. Add vanilla and cool completely. Spread cool mixture over ice cream and freeze again. Spread cool whip over top of ice cream and sprinkle with Spanish peanuts. Take out of freezer 10-15 minutes before serving.
