4 lb ground chuck or ground round
1 large onion, chopped
2-28 oz cans crushed tomato in puree
1-141/2 can diced tomatoes
4-15 oz can tomato sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 1/2 tsp salt
2 3/4 tsp cumin
2 1/2 tsp pepper
5 tbsp + 1 tsp Chili powder
4-15 1/2 oz can dark red kidney beans, drained and washed

Directions:
Directions:
Brown onion and beef together. Drain off excess fat. Combine remaining ingredients except kidney beans. Cook on low for 1 1/2 hours stirring occasionally so not to burn. Stir in kidney beans, cook for 1 1/2 hours more on low. Serve with grated cheddar cheese and sour cream if desired.
