12 oz ground chuck
4 oz ground Italian style sausage
2 garlic cloves, minced
3/4 c. onion, chopped
2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
1/2 6 oz can tomato paste
1 c water
1/2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp parsley
3/4 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
pepper to taste
1/2 package (8oz) lasagna noodles
1 pound part skim ricotta cheese
12 oz shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1/2 c grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Lightly brown beef, sausage, onion and garlic in olive oil, drain. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, water basil, parsley, oregano, salt, sugar and pepper. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally for 30 minutes.Cook lasagna as directed on box, drain. In 9X13" baking dish, spread about 1 cup of sauce. Then alternate layers of lasagna, sauce, ricotta, Mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese; ending with sauce, Mozzarella and Parmesan. Cover with foil and bake at 350º for 40-50 minutes. Allow to stand for 15 minutes. Makes 8-10 servings

This sounds complicated, but it is really easy and oh so worth it! Serve this with a salad and garlic bread and you have a divine meal.
