4 c. Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 1/2 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Sugar
1 1/2 c. Crisco
1 Egg
1/2 c Cold Water
1 tbsp White Vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Bake 1 shell at 450º for 12 minutes. Mix together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and fluff with whip. Cut in Crisco into pea size crumbs. Mix 1/2 c. cold water, egg and vinegar into shaker or pint jar, shake. Add to dry mixture (flour and crisco) stir in with a wooden spoon. Makes 4 singles or 2 double crust.

I remember when Mom taught me to make this recipe and to roll out the crust and to flute the edges of the crust like Grandma Romine used to do. This make such a tender crust, and no, you can not taste the vinegar.
