1 1/2 c.sugar
1 c. white karo syrup
1/2 c. cold water
2 1/2 c. raw Spanish peanuts
1 t. salt
1 t. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sugar, syrup and water until it reaches hard crack stage. Add salt and peanuts and cook over low flame for 15 minutes. The peanuts should turn a golden brown and the syrup should become the color of honey and have reached the hard crack stage again. Remove from the heat and stir in quickly the baking soda and pour onto a buttered cookie sheet. Spread it out quickly. When it is cool break the brittle into pieces and store in an air tight container.
