DOUGH:

2 sticks (1 c.) soft butter or Oleo
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt


FILLING:

3/4 lb. almond paste, grated
3 eggs
1 c. granulated sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º.
DOUGH: mix butter, brown sugar and powdered sugar. Add flour, baking soda and salt. Place 1/2 of this dough in a lightly greased 9x13x2 inch pan.
FILLING: mix almond paste, eggs and granulated sugar. Beat well. Pour over crust. Crumble remaining dough over the filling. It won't completely cover but it will bake together. Sprinkle crust with white sugar. Bake at 325º for 45 minutes.
