2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 sticks of butter or margarine
4 Tbsp. cocoa powder
1 c. water
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla


Frosting

1 stick butter or margarine
4 Tbsp. cocoa powder
1/3 c. milk
1 box of powdered sugar
1 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the sugar, flour, and baking soda in a large bowl. In a sauce pan, boil the butter, cocoa and water and then pour over the sugar mixture. In a small bowl slightly beat the eggs and then add them to the mixture along with the buttermilk and the vanilla. Blend together and pour into a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 º for 20 minutes.

Frosting directions:

In a small sauce pan bring to boil while stirring, the butter, cocoa powder, and the milk. Remove from the heat and add the powdered sugar and blend. Add the walnuts and pour over the cake while the frosting is still hot.
