4 cups Flour
4 tsp. Baking Soda
½ tsp. Salt
1 ½ cups Shortening
2 cups Sugar
2 Eggs
½ cup Molasses
4 tsp. Ground Ginger
2 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
2 tsp. Ground Cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. In large mixing bowl, beat shortening and sugar until well blended. Beat in eggs, molasses, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves. Add flour mixture in two parts, blending well. Cover and refrigerate overnight or at least 2 hours. Shape dough into balls and roll in granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes depending on size.
