1 C. Scalded Milk
1 pkg. Yeast
1 tsp. Salt
2 T. Sugar
2 T. Melted Butter
1 Beaten Egg white
3 + C. Flour
Melted butter for finishing.

Directions:
Directions:
Scald the milk. Add the sugar, salt and butter. Stir until it cools down to lukewarm and add yeast.
Stir to dissolve and add egg white. Stir in enough flour to make a nice soft dough. Turn it in an big oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let it rise 2 hours. Punch down and form into rolls. Place in greased pan and let it them rise for another hour. Bake 15-20 minutes in a preheated 400º oven. Brush with melted butter and serve.

If you turn your oven light on, it will provide a nice warm draft free place to raise the dough. Mom always put these up for the first rise while we went to church and finished them when we got home.
