1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. pork sausage
1/2 cup crumbled soda crackers
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup canned diced tomatoes
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
1 onion chopped
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. baking powder
Bacon slices

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine all ingredients. Shape into a loaf. Place slices of bacon on top. Bake for 1 hour.

To make it with less fat, I like to use turkey sausage (Jennie O's The Turkey Store's Turkey Sausage Patties) instead of pork sausage and use leaner or leanest ground beef.
