1 lb ground beef
1 small onion finely chopped and fried.
1/2 cup oats (optional)
2-3 tsp Montreal Seasoning
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 egg lightly beaten

How to prepare your own Montreal seasoning:
2 tsp paprika
2 tsp crushed black pepper, coarse
2 tsp coarse kosher salt (or coarse sea salt)
1 tsp granulated garlic
1 tsp granulated onion
1 tsp crushed coriander
1 tsp dill weed
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (or cayenne pepper)
Optional:
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried rosemary
1 tsp fennel seed

Directions:
Directions:
Fry the onions in a pan until caramelized.
Combine beef, fried onions, oats, seasoning, Worcestershire sauce and egg.
Mix well (use your hands), form into patties and grill.
