1 tsp baking powder

in a large skillet , half fill skillet with water, about 4 cups, add 2 tbsp of butter and 1 tbsp of salt,bring to boil turn down and simmer

Take small portions of dough and roll ,to formsa little worm, drop in simmering water. have a little flour on dough so when they are dropped they don't stick together.
peel potatoes and thinly slice place on top of noodles and cover. Do not remove cover till you can hear them frying.about a half an hour, remove cover and turn for frying
