Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp yeast
1 Tbsp white sugar
1 1/2 cup warm/hot water
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
4 cups flour
butter
maple syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar (plus 1/4 for in the pan)
cinnamon
raisins (optional)
chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Put the yeast, white sugar, water and oil into a bowl. Let sit for 5-10 minutes, until the yeast bubbles.
Add in the flour, first by stirring, then kneading the dough. don't knead for very long, just long enough to make the dough soft and smooth (not sticky).
Place the ball of dough into a oiled bowl, let sit for 1/2 hour. Roll the dough out on a slightly oiled surface. Spread butter on it, sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon on it (and raisins and nuts if you are using them), and syrup. Roll, and cut.

Before placing the cinnamon buns into the pan, butter the edges of the pan, and sprinkle sugar and syrup on the bottom of the pan.

Let cinnamon buns rise (if possible for 1/2 hour in a warm place). Bake in a 350ºF oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Flip upside down onto a plate when they come out of the oven.
