Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 or 3 28 oz. cans Bushes baked beans, I like homestyle, or you can use Van Camps.
1 or 1 1/2 lb. ground pork sausage or hamburger
1 medium onion, diced,
1/2 green pepper, diced,
brown sugar
ketchup
sweet bbq sauce such as Baby Rays
Fresh cracked pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground pork or beef and drain. Add chopped onion and green pepper, cook about five minutes until veggies are soft. Start adding the sugar, bbq sauce and ketchup. Add black pepper to taste, you can leave this out if you want. Taste along the way until you get it just right. We like it really sweet! It's the Dierdorf way, deal with it!

Bake @ 325º for about an hour.

Depends on if you are serving Dan, if so not many, because he will eat it all.

Personal Notes:
O.K. so I made up the proportions. You just have to work on it until you get it right. Grandpa never wrote it down. But, this is a great recipe, even people who don't like baked beans like it. Tim, I think this job should be yours, somehow these are just better when made by a man, especially one with a sweet tooth. (This is where you take the hint to add more brown sugar). Enjoy, and think of the lovely man who made it up a long time ago in Canton, Ohio.
