3 c. flour 1 c. granulated sugar
2/3 c. powdered sugar 1 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 c. margarine or butter softened
1/4 tsp salt 1 egg
1/4 c. cocoa

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients . Melt butter or margarine , cool stir in egg until dough forms. Divide dough into halves mix cocoa into one half. Pat or roll imto 9 inch squares. Cut into 3 inch strips. Cut strips cross wise in half.
Lift one brown strip half with large spatula onto plastic wrap. Top with one white strip press firmly. Dpress firmly into a barO the rest of the strips, alternate colors. Press firmly into a bar 4 1/2x3x3refrigerate and chill 2 hours. Preheat oven 375 degrees. Take dough out of oven cut 1/4 inch slices then cut with a horse cookie cutter. place on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake 375 degrees 8-10 minuets. Or roll 1/4 inch thick, cut with horse cookie, frost with white, brown or black frosting depending on the color of the cookie, then paint stripes depending on the color of cookie..
