Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1½ pounds lean hamburger meat

1 box Penne Pasta

1 26½ oz. can Spaghetti Sauce, your preferred kind
(I always use very inexpensive sauce in the can because I don’t like chunky sauce, but use whatever you like)

1 can tomato paste

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

1½ tablespoons minced dried onion (or 1 tablespoon onion powder, or 1 small onion chopped, use what you have or you like)

2 teaspoons garlic salt

(if your sauce is seasoned the way you like it skip the additional seasonings)

1½ cups cottage cheese

1 pound shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Boil noodles in salted water untill el dente. Drain and rinse.(do not over cook)

Cook hamburger over medium high heat until no longer pink.

Preheat oven to 350°

Add spaghetti sauce, tomato paste and if desired additional seasoning to cooked hamburger until hot and bubbly.

Mix pasta and meat sauce together in a greased 9x13 pan.

Gently mix in cottage cheese.

Lightly cover the top with shredded mozzarella cheese and slightly mix into the noodles, then cover the top with cheese again.

Bake until hot and bubbly and cheese is melted. (about 15-20 min)

For even quicker preparation prepare pasta the night before or in the morning and store wet pasta in a Ziploc bag until needed.

Pasta can also be frozen and thawed in the microwave and heated under hot running water.
