1 medium head cabbage
½ green pepper
3/4 c vinegar
2 ribs celery
1 tsp celery seed
1 tsp mustard seed
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 c water
1 c sugar

Shred cabbage and drain off excess juice. To the shredded cabbage, add the vinegar, celery seed, mustard seed, salt and pepper to taste, water and sugar. Mix well and chill.
