6 TBSP. CAKE FLOUR
2/3 CUP SUGAR
1/4 TSP. SALT
1 3/4 CUP MILK
2 EGG YOLKS, BEATEN
1 1/4 TSP. VANILLA
1/2 CUP WHIPPED CREAM
3 BANANAS SLICED
1 BAKED PIE SHELL

MIX FLOUR, SUGAR, SALT IN TOP OF DOUBLE BROILER. ADD MILK AND COOK, STIRRING CONSTANTLY UNTIL IT THICKENS. COOK 15 MINUTES LONGER, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY. POUR SMALL AMOUNT IN EGG YOLKS THEN RETURN TO DOUBLE BROILER AND COOK 2 MINUTES LONGER STIRRING CONSTANTLY. REMOVE FROM FIRE. COOL. ADD VANILLA. CHILL. FOLD IN WHIPPED CREAM. POUR ON TOP OF SLICED BANANAS IN BOTTOM OF PIE CRUST SO THAT NO BANANAS ARE SHOWING.
