~24 Slices French Bread
3 c. Half & Half cream
1/3 c. Sugar
9 Eggs
2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 1/2 tsp. Rum Extract
1/2 tsp. Ground Nutmeg
Confectioner's Sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Arrange the bread slices in two 9x13 pans. In a large bowl, beat the eggs, cream, sugar, extracts and nutmeg until blended; pour over bread. Turn bread to coat. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Bake, uncovered, at 500º for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned, turning bread once. Remove from oven and dust with confectioner's sugar.

We serve this recipe every Christmas with Strawberries and Cream on the side. Occasionally we use Texas Toast in place of the French Bread
