Directions:
Slice carrots to about the size of a nickel or quarter. Put a layer of carrots (about 2-3 high) in a baking dish. Top with a few pats of butter or margarine and sprinkles of brown sugar. Repeat layers again to the top of the pan. Fill the pan half way with water. Cover the pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. You can uncover 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through for crunchier carrots. Stir and serve.

Personal Notes:
I make a large pan full and freeze the leftovers in meal size portions. They are simple to microwave for a quick vegetable.
