beef shoulder roast
1/2 cup flour
2 tbsp. steak seasoning
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 cup oil
1-2 cups water
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. Kitchen Bouquet© Browning and Seasoning Sauce
1/4 cup red wine
1 large onion (sliced into wide rings)
4 cloves fresh garlic
1 bay leaf
3 potatoes (washed, peeled & cut in large cubes)
1 cup carrots

Directions:

Mix flour and dry seasonings in a shallow bowl. Place roast into mixture, coating all sides well. Heat oil in large, deep pot (medium high heat). Place roast into oil and sear all sides until brown. Add water, Worcestershire sauce, Kitchen Bouquet© and wine (can add more or less of each, depending on the size of the roast). Add half the onion, garlic and bay leaf. Turn heat to low, cover and cook on stovetop for about 4 hours or until tender. Check and stir occasionally. In the last 45 minutes, add potatoes, carrots and remaining onions. Continue cooking until vegetables are tender.
