Flank Steak:
1 (2-lb) flank steak, trimmed
2 t. dried chipotle powder
1/2 t. salt
2 t. minced fresh garlic

Avocado Sauce:
2 small, ripe avocados, peeled and cut into quarters
1 jalapeņo, seeded and minced
1/2 c. sour cream
1/4 c. fresh lime juice
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. sugar
1/4 t. minced fresh garlic

Flank Steak:

Sprinkle steak evenly with chipotle powder and salt; rub with garlic. Grill, covered, over medium-high heat 8-10 minutes each side or until it reaches desired doneness. Tent with foil and let stand 5 minutes. Cut diagonally across the grain into thin strips. Serve with tortillas and Cool, Creamy Avocado Sauce

Cool, Creamy Avocado Sauce:

Process all ingredients in a food processor until smooth.

The spice of the chipotle powder is weakened by the coolness of the avocado sauce. You can even make the sauce and serve alone as a dip.
