3 cups buttermilk
3 cups Rogers bran
3 tsp. baking soda
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. Crisco oil
3 tsp. vanilla
3 large eggs
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
3 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
1) In a large bowl, dissolve Rogers bran and baking soda into the buttermilk. Set aside.

2) In another large bowl, beat the brown sugar, white sugar, Crisco oil, eggs and vanilla. Set aside.

3) Sift flour, baking powder and salt.

4) Mix the liquid ingredients (egg, sugar, etc) with the bran mixture. Add the flour mixture. Stir by hand until smooth. Put into oven at 350º for 25 minutes.
