3-4 firm bananas
1 pt. strawberries
1 can mandarin oranges
Vanilla pudding (can or package)
Sponge, or angel food cake
1 pt raspberries, washed and drained
1 pt blueberries
whipped cream or cool whip

Directions:
Arrange a layer of sponge cake slices on bottom of glass bowl. Top with a layer of mixed fruits spread evenly over the cake, spread vanilla pudding over trifle, add another layer of cake, fruit and pudding, and depending on how large your bowl is you may be able to add another layer.
Top with whipped cream and decorate with strawberries or shaved chocolate.

Variations: add nuts to the fruit mixture, also you can add Kirsch (3 TBSP or brandy to the mixed fruit. You can also sprinkle oreo cookies to the sponge cake.

Chill for several hours, may be made in advance for flavors to mingle.
To serve, spoon down through the trifle so that each serving consists of pudding, fruit and cake.

This recipe can serve about 20 people, if made in large trifle bowl. Double the pudding and add more fruit. Can be made for Passover.
