1 c. chopped dates
1 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. white sugar
1 c. boiling water
1/8 tsp. salt
butter -- size of a walnut
1 tsp. vanilla
1 beaten egg
1 tsp. soda
2 c. flour
1/2 c. nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine dates, sugars, boiling water, salt, butter. Mix -- cool -- then add remaining ingredients. Mix together and bake in 350º oven for 1 hour or so.
