4 slices bread
3/4 c. milk
2 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 finely chopped onion
1 t. garlic salt
2 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
2 eggs, lightly beaten
Shortening for frying
2 c. beef bouillon

Directions:
Directions:
Crumble bread. Add milk; blend well. Add beef and seasonings. Add eggs; beat until mixture is stiff. Form into 1-inch balls, place on wax paper. Let stand about 30 minutes to dry. Heat 1/2-inch layer of shortening in heavy skillet. Add meatballs, fry till brown. Place meatballs in single layer in large, shallow baking pan; add hot bouillon. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes until broth is absorbed. Serve warm with toothpicks.
