2 cups, undrained, chopped tomatoes
1/2 t baking soda
2 t sugar
1 bay leaf
1 onion, quartered
1 T dried parsley
2 cups whole milk
1 t butter
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Heat tomatoes in large pot. Add baking soda when tomatoes are hot. Add onion, sugar, bay and parsley. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Remove onion. Add milk, butter and salt and pepper to taste. Do not boil
